The success The Full Monty inevitably led to a slew of pretenders desperate to capitalize on the "winning" combination of working class drudgery and sexual liberation. Kinky Boots is one of the most egregious examples of how badly they sometimes turn out to be. Joel Edgerton plays Charlie Price, heir to the Northampton shoe factory facing impending closure. Into his life walks transvestite cabaret star Lola (Chiwetel Ejiofor, an admittedly entertaining turn), whose penchant for the titular footwear offers a ray of light for the factory and its employees. Price's character is the everyman often found in these kind of films and Edgerton struggles to bring anything singular to his performance, even looking as though he's actually bored in some scenes. His attempt at a regional accent also falls flat, making Wish You Were Here a low point in an otherwise respectable (and sometimes exceptional) career. Do you agree with the selections on this list?
