John Cusack: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

1. Sam - The Prince

Given that Cusack is receiving some very warm reviews for his part to play in the recently released Love & Mercy, this worst performance to date could be a result of him entering too much into the mindset of Brian Wilson - the subject matter of the aforementioned - and losing sight of what a decent role really is. But excuses aside, the role of Sam in this yawn-inducing crime thriller is a real clunker; nothing overtly offensive to the acting profession, mind, just a stone cold case of an actor calling in a performance in a movie that went straight to a video on demand service. Not his, Bruce Willis', Jason Patric's or, er, 50 Cent's finest moment.
