2. It Doesn't Spoil A Great Deal

As with the inevitable and understandable temptation to show off more of its flashier cast members to sell the movie to mainstream audiences, the film could have gone heavy on the spoilers to ensure cheap but effective impact on ticket sales. Thankfully, they've avoided doing that.

There are lots of hints in here that will inspire theories (like the link between Thomas Wayne and Arthur being closer than initially suspected), but it is careful to avoid being too much more than a mood board.

Broadly speaking, it's obvious the trajectory of the story, but there are few sign-posts and the specific twists in the road are not mapped out. And that's exactly as it should be for a trailer. Let's hope they stick to that approach as we get closer to release.
