Jon Favreau takes a trip to THE MAGIC KINGDOM

So Jon Favreau will get to make an Avengers movie after all! Well, kind of. Deadline say Favreau has entered talks to direct Magic Kingdom, a family friendly film based on their famous theme park which was previously described as their version of the Avengers as it would unite all their classic characters from Mickey Mouse and Pluto to Sleeping Beauty and Snow White in one adventure. The premise is the theme park rides comes to life and it is of course a no brainer film for Disney as just like the Pirates of the Caribbean movie it also acts as a two hour long commercial for their resort. Oddly as we mentioned a while ago, Disney have a script from Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica) but it's said Favreau wants to bring in his own writer to mould the project to his liking. So don't expect this one for a little while yet. As far as Iron Man 3 is concerned, it's a positive that Favreau and Disney are talking and making deals again after the fiery relationship hurt the filming and end-product of Iron Man 2. I had thought there would be no chance the wounds could be healed for Favreau to direct the third Robert Downey Jr film (which is due May 2013) but I would say there's a huge chance of that now. Though if Disney want Magic Kingdom anytime in the next four years, he probably wouldn't be able to make Iron Man 3 anyway.
