JUNO team back for JENNIFER'S BODY

'so-so' trailer for Juno, the coming of age drama has secured itself a big cult audience and absolutely terrific buzz for it's limited release in December (February in U.K.). It's also made ex stripper turned screenwriter Diablo Cody a suprisingly well known personality in the film world. She's desperate not to be a one-hit wonder and is looking to stay in this businnes for a very long time. She already has her second script Jennifer's Body picked up by Fox Atomic and a lead star already attached, Transformers hottie Megan Fox... which we reported last month. This time, the film is not an off-beat comedy but is instead a quirky horror flick, described as a mix between Heathers and Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. The film follows a cheerleader with a perfect life who becomes the girl from hell when she gets possessed and begins killing boys in a small town. Her best friend must then find a way to stop her. The word from The Hollywood Reporter (via Cinema Blend) is that Juno director Jason Reitman will return to helm Jennifer's Body as a pre-strike film, as will his producing partner. Before Juno, Reitman also directed the off-beat Thank You For Smoking but this will be a slightly new venture for the son of Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman. I'm down with it and I actually think Megan Fox is perfect for this. This could be good!
