Jurassic Park: 10 Deadliest Dinosaurs

6. Pteranodon

In Real Life: Fun fact for any normal fans who are able to enjoy the films without doing background research: Pteranodon was not actually a dinosaur. While reptilian and certainly historically contemporary to many species of dinosaur, the official classification of these flying animals is entirely separate. A piscivore rather than genuine carnivore, Pteranodon fed primarily on fish rather than vegetation or land critters. In The Films: The Pteranodon of Jurassic Park III are rather significant departures from their real-life counterparts. These honorary dinosaurs are perfectly willing to bend the rules of biology and snack on some people as Dr. Grant and Co. meander into the abandoned Isla Sorna aviary. MVP Moment: An adult Pteranodon lifts young Eric off of his feet and deposits him into a nest, where baby Pteranodon proceed to maul the boy in their attempts to eat him. Confirmed Kills: 0 - although the human skeletons in the nest indicate that Eric is hardly the first person to fall prey to Pteranodon
