Jurassic Park: 10 Deadliest Dinosaurs

5. Compsognathus

In Real Life: Of all of the dinosaurs currently known to man, Compsognathus is one of the smallest. About the size of a turkey and carnivorous, compys were known to stray from their regular diet of smaller lizards to scavenge off of the kills of larger dinosaurs. Generally, however, Compsognathus was not a huge threat to many animals larger than itself. In The Films: Compsognathus is the first species to appear onscreen in The Lost World, emerging from the jungle to attack a young girl who has landed on Isla Sorna for a picnic with her parents. Compys then appear sporadically throughout the movie, ultimately proving themselves more dangerous than any of the characters could have possibly expected. Size may matter in Jurassic Park, but the compys can certainly hold their own in a fight. MVP Moment: It turns out that the compys of The Lost World are not huge fans of being zapped by a cattle prod, and a cheerfully chirping pack overwhelms and then feeds on InGen perpetrator Dieter Stark.
