Up to now, both of the Jurassic Park sequels have indeed included all 3 of these iconic characters, but never together. In order to bring back the magic of the original movie, they must be reunited. I'm certainly not suggesting that they should find themselves in the same kind of danger that they have in the previous movies - I don't think they're that stupid and shouldn't be portrayed as such - but they definitely all need to play a part. They could, perhaps, be part of a consortium that wants to shut Jurassic Park and all activities associated with it down permanently, or they could be there for an official opening, to see for themselves that the new incarnation of the park is safe for the public. Regardless, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern have to be on board.
