Jurassic Park 4: 10 Ways To Make It A Success

6. A Decent Plot

This kind of goes without saying, obviously. But, following on from the last point, the temptation to have a crazy, farcical, 'out there' plot needs to be resisted. As does the rinse and repeat method of the previous films. We need something new, solid, believable and thought provoking and, most importantly, something that feels like it belongs in this franchise. For me, an adult Tim Hammond should be in charge of InGen and, as a naive young businessman, should be taken advantage of by Lewis Dodgson and Biosyn, resulting in Biosyn and InGen merging and Dodgson and company getting control of Jurassic Park. Dodgson's company should then try to ensure they don't make the same mistakes as Hammond, but ultimately prove that - even with watertight contingencies and knowledge of previous failed attempts - these prehistoric forces of nature will never be truly under human control.
