In the Years That Followed: After the sequel, Attenborough only appeared in a small handful of TV series and movies, though notably turned up in 1998's Elizabeth, which starred Cate Blanchett and Geoffrey Rush, and the film adaptation of Spike Milligan's Puckoon in 2002. He also reprised his Hammond role in a voice-only capacity for 1998's Trespasser game. In 2007, he directed his last film, Closing The Ring, overseeing a cast that included Shirley MacLaine, Christopher Plummer, Pete Postlethwaite and Arrow's Stephen Amell, ending a directorial career that included 1977's A Bridge Too Far, 1982's Gandhi and 1992's Chaplin. Attenborough passed away in August of 2014 at the age of 90.
