3. Laura Dern
Her Role In the Trilogy: Paleobotanist Ellie Sattler in Jurassic Park, who later reappeared in Jurassic Park III, with her marriage to State Department official Mark allowing her to call upon the Navy and USMC to secure Dr. Grant and his group's rescue from Isla Sorna. In the Years That Followed: Since 2001, the actress has steadily made appearances in films both short and feature length, notably starring in projects like David Lynch's Inland Empire, Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master, alongside Michael Shannon and Andrew Garfield in 99 Homes and the film adaptation of The Fault In Our Stars. She also starred in HBO's acclaimed but short-lived Enlightened, which ran for two seasons between 2011 and 2013. Earlier this year she received an Oscar nomination for her turn in Wild. As of 2015: Earlier this year, Dern made a one-episode appearance on an episode of The Mindy Project and starred in Bravetown alongside Maria Bello and Josh Duhamel. She can also be seen in the Woody Harrelson-starring Wilson, with Michelle Williams and Kristen Stewart in director Kelly Reichardt's next film and in the biopic The Founder, which stars Michael Keaton as Ray Kroc, the man who turned McDonald's into the fast food giant it still is today.
