Simply put, some of the CGI in the Jurassic World trailer - namely the mosasaurus - was absolutely terrible. The dinosaurs in the original movie back in 1993 looked far better than the aquatic beast which, quite frankly, looked like something out of one of those terrible Mega Shark Vs Giant Octopus type monstrosities. It goes without saying that some polishing will be done to all of the footage in the trailer before the movie is actually released, but there needs to be a hell of a lot done to make the mosasaurus acceptable and the big question is will that actually happen? If the mosasaurus looks as bad in the finished film as it did in the trailer, it will impact the movie as a whole. The suspension of disbelief will disappear and, in review terms, it would knock at least a whole star off its rating.
