Jurassic World: 17 Easter Eggs, In-Jokes And References You Need To See

2. The Dilophosaurus Hologram

Every dinosaur from the first Jurassic Park makes an appearance in Jurassic World - as well as the prominent presence of the raptors and the T-Rex, the likes of the Triceratops and Brachiosaurus appear both in the petting zoo and around the park - aside from one; the Dilophosaurus. The frilled, poison-spitting creature played a prominent role in the first film, but was reduced to a background Easter egg in the sequels, possibly because it's the least accurate recreation (the real Dilophosaurus was neither frilled nor spat poison). It make a bit more of a prominent return in Jurassic World; a hologram of it is used by Owen to distract a chasing velociraptor, using a digital replica of the first film's model.
