8. What's Next For Blue?
There's a lot of things we've come to rely on in Jurassic Park movies, and Blue is certainly one of them. Whether it be arriving in the nick of time to save our protagonists, or simply being awesome in every scene that she's in, Blue really is one of the better parts of the past two Jurassic flicks.
In addition to Fallen Kingdom’s central arc, we got to know a little bit more about the friendly velociraptor and her relationship with Owen. Through a series of recorded video diaries, we saw how the raptor learned human empathy, as well as witnessing her close relationship with Owen from a young age.
After the dinosaurs are set free, Owen asks Blue to come with him, promising the raptor that he’ll keep her safe. It is a very poignant moment; one that raises an important question. Is it better to be safe but live a life in captivity, or to be free and live a life full of risks? For Blue, the answer is easy.
The velociraptor leaves Owen behind and sets out on a new adventure. With so much danger out there, what lies ahead for Blue remains to be seen.
