Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - 12 Stupidest Moments In The Dumbest Jurassic Park Movie Ever

2. That Insanely Dumb Ending

Fallen Kingdom's finale sees Owen and Claire faced with a dilemma: allow the remaining dinosaurs on the Lockwood estate to die from exposure to hydrogen cyanide that's leaking into their enclosure, or open the doors to the enclosure and allow them to roam free through the rural U.S.

As they discuss options, Maisie takes it upon herself to press the Big Red Button (because of course), causing the dinos to flee into the night, destination unknown.

Unfortunately, the movie is so attached to its unconvincing animal rights message that it tries to play this off as a genuine moral dilemma, when in reality, it would be perfectly reasonable to let the dinosaurs die compared to, you know, unleashing them upon civilisation.

The final moments of the movie show Blue - who has an incredible ability to sniff out human flesh, remember - descending upon a housing estate, while a montage shows humanity struggling to adjust to dinosaurs encroaching upon their land.

It's an ending almost ballsy in its fearless stupidity, but with Trevorrow both writing and directing the next movie, it's hard to have much faith in it being any good.
