Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - 20 WTF Moments

13. The Indoraptor Needs A Mother...Because Reasons

One of the strangest expository lines in the entire movie seems like it's going to go somewhere but...just doesn't? Dr. Wu (B.D. Wong) explains to Mills that the Indoraptor is a dangerous experimental prototype and not yet ready for sale, adding that it "needs a mother" in order to assume its traits of empathy and understanding.

Without this maternal figure, the Indoraptor is basically a sociopath, and considering the specificity of Wu's words, it really feels like this is going to have some sort of impact on the movie's final showdown.

After all, could Blue perhaps find a way to "tame" the Indoraptor, with Blue being a female and the Indoraptor containing her DNA? Ultimately, it was all for nought.
