Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - 20 WTF Moments

12. Why Doesn't Mills Just Kill Owen & Claire?

The mustache-twirling antagonist Mills had several perfect opportunities to murder Owen and Claire, but for some reason he placed them in a holding cell instead.

Considering that Mills could've easily killed the pair and claimed that they perished during the Isla Nublar eruption, it seems rather odd that such a Machiavellian schemer wouldn't do the most obvious thing to ensure his own success.

Given that he had the presence of mind to go behind his boss' back - after murdering his boss no less - keeping Owen and Claire alive just makes Mills seem like a bit of a wannabe Bond villain.

Sure, "because movie" is the answer here and Claire and Owen obviously have plot armour, but did Mills' idiotic lack of foresight have to be so blatantly apparent?
