22. Mosasaur Feeding Time

The opening sequence concludes with the man in the raincoat desperately fleeing from the T-Rex and leaping onto a rope ladder suspended from a fleeing chopper.

The man thinks he's safe, but at that moment, the Mosasaur leaps out of the water and devours the man whole. This is clearly a playful nod to a similar sequence from Jurassic World, where the Mosasaur dives into the air to snatch the suspended live bait during a show.

This time around, the human's the bait. After escaping a T-Rex the poor sod probably earned the right to live, but sadly no dice.
