Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - 8 Reasons Why The Fans Should Be Worried

4. Chris Pratt And Bryce Dallas Howard Are Back

One of the most frequent fan criticisms regarding Jurassic World concerns it two central characters, played by Chris Pratt And Bryce Dallas Howard.

In the run-up to its release, the movie was forced to battle sexism allegations based on exchanges between the protagonists in the early trailers.

Its situation wasn't helped when Avengers director Joss Whedon added his voice to the opposition, but it's fair to say both characters are deconstructed during the events of the film and come out the other end more credible.

Or at least Pratt's Owen Grady does... to an extent. Howard's Claire Dearing is still wearing her high heels by the end of the movie, even when she's fleeing from a T-Rex.

The pair ultimately end up as one of those cliche on-screen couples who share trite dialogue and are no more interesting as a unit than they were individually.

They're both back in Fallen Kingdom but the early reports suggest Claire has a bigger role this time around, with Owen taking more of a backseat.

Let's hope plenty of character development happened between the events of Jurassic World and the opening scene of its sequel.
