Justice League: 10 Dumb Plot Holes That Derailed The Film
1. Steppenwolf Forgets He Can Turn People Into Parademons
Steppenwolf, as a villain, joins a long line of big, ugly CGI monsters that you're destined to forget the minute you leave the theatre. Not only is he totally uncharismatic as a bad guy, though, he's also insanely stupid and only serves to spoil his own attempts at world destruction... by forgetting his own powers.
It is established, after all, that Steppenwolf is capable of turning people into Parademons during one of the movie's flashback sequences. We see it happening in plain sight, and yet when it comes to the actual events of Justice League, Steppenwolf has, uh, supposedly lost this power. But for what reason?
The Parademons, generally, mark a low point for the DC Extended Universe, so perhaps it's a good thing he was unable to recall this transformative ability to the point of infinity. Still, the fact he doesn't even try to unleash this power when the Justice League are beating the hell out of him - or explain to audiences why he suddenly can't - just points to shoddy, incoherent storytelling.
Just another glowing example of the filmmakers spewing half-baked ideas all over the place and not bothering to make sure things, you know, match up.
