Justice League: 10 Dumb Plot Holes That Derailed The Film

2. Steppenwolf Interrogates Those Scientists For No Reason

Mother Box Justice League

Over and over again, we're shown that Steppenwolf is able to teleport to the Mother Boxes. He does this twice, first when he goes to Wonder Woman's home of Themyscira, and later when he goes underwater to Atlantis.

Then, of course, he teleports to that undisclosed location hidden deep beneath Gotham City in order to track down the final Mother Box... but spends his precious time interrogating scientists and a janitor for its location?

Huh? At this point the film has already established that Steppenwolf can teleport to near enough exactly where a Mother Box is hidden, and yet somehow he manages to get a full-on hostage situation going (to no avail, of course). Worst still, he asks a lowly janitor where the Mother Box is, as if that was ever gonna work.

What we have here, really, is an excuse for the Justice League to rescue some civilians and for Silas Stone to be present, but from a story perspective it's a ridiculous waste of time for both the film's characters and the audience.
