While it's looking increasingly unlikely that the night Robin died will be featured in any way in Zack Snyder's Justice League, there is going to at least be a reference to the Boy Wonder.

"There's a Robin line like...there's a Robin Easter egg in Justice League. That, I think you'll have to wait and see. I can't say exactly." As for whether he'd like to make further use of Robin in the DCEU, Snyder added: "Would there be a plan to have more Robin? In whatever future story? There would be."

"I mean to me, the way you do a Robin story in the Justice League universe with Batman is like, drinking and remembering, and we see what happened," Snyder added. "We understand who Robin was to him, and we get to experience what was the circumstances for the Joker and Robin coming together."

That sounds pretty cool, but as for the line he mentions, it's safe to assume that The Joker will have something to say about killing Batman's sidekick when the two of them cross paths again. In the past, Snyder has revealed that it was Dick Grayson who was killed by the Clown Prince of Crime, and that the villain set the youngster on fire during his attack. Maybe it's for the best that's not being shot!
