8. More Knightmare Scenes (And A Big Mystery Solved)
They were as baffling as they were intriguing, but Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's "Knightmare" scenes certainly got fans talking. Set on a desolate Earth ruled by Darkseid, his Parademons, and a mind-controlled Superman, it's believed this was going to be the setting of Justice League: Part 2 before Warner Bros. changed course.
Regardless, Zack Snyder has now confirmed that his Justice League movie will spend more time in this "Knightmare" future, though whether that's another vision or the planned ending for this version is unclear. It would certainly be pretty disappointing to end things on a cliffhanger, though the filmmaker was kind enough to solve at least one mystery while responding to a fan.
Asked where Batman got that badass trench coat from (it's become an almost iconic piece of imagery relating to the Caped Crusader), Snyder said, "[He] probably pulled it off some dead guy." When you stop and think about it, that makes sense for this version of the Dark Knight!
