Justice League: 10 Potential Enemies For The Film

8. Doomsday

A mindless killing machine, Doomsday's sole purpose is destruction. He was genetically engineered for war and to cause the annihilation of entire species, making him a more than an ideal candidate for the Justice League's antagonist. Introduced in the 90€™s, Doomsday went on a rampage across America, defeating many JL members in his wake until he was stopped by Superman, but at the cost of the Man of Steel€™s life. Though Doomsday is a powerful being and a physical match for the League, he does not have much in the way of intelligence because he was meant to be purely controlled by a third party, though many writers have attempted to broaden his character without great success. If he shows up in the film, it is likely Doomsday would be a secondary villain under the control of someone much more powerful unless Snyder slightly changes his backstory, much like how Smallville adapted Doomsday. Another aspect to factor in is Superman€™s death. It may be too soon for Doomsday to be utilised in the DC Cinematic Universe due to the magnitude of his very first appearance, but the death of Superman remains one of the most memorable moments in comic history and, for that reason alone, he will probably end up on the big screen eventually.
