9. The MONEY
Let's be coldly pragmatic, shall we? The article's called "10 Reasons Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale should do it", and if I'm either of those guys' agents, or I'm a friend or family member of either of those guys, or I'm someone within shouting distance of either of those guys, I'd be duty bound to mention the fact that Warner Brothers will back a dump truck full of money up to their doors if they agree to return to the Batman character. The Dark Knight Trilogy has grossed over two billion dollars worldwide. Christian Bale is a big name; he's Batman to the modern audience -- just bringing him back is a coup. And Nolan's no slouch, either; you think it's a coincidence that the trailers for Man of Steel have his name plastered all over them, even though he appears to be acting as a "hands off" producer? When either Nolan or Bale do any movie, it's an event; when they work together, it's a big event. Having the two of them return to work on Batman? That's an investment Warner Brothers knows is going to pay off. That's an event that has the potential to outgross The Avengers (more on that in a bit). And you had better believe they'll give Nolan and Bale whatever money they need to to make it happen.
