1. Joss Whedon Has Shot A New Ending
A metric tonne of speculation has emerged around those Joss Whedon-helmed reshoots, and one report suggests the Avengers director has gone as far as filming a new ending for Justice League.
According to /Film’s Peter Sciretta, Zack Snyder's original conclusion dated back to a time when Justice League was envisioned as a two-part story, and it included a cliffhanger based around Darkseid.
The report suggests Whedon was tasked with filming a new ending that hones in on the heroes' lives after the battle with Steppenwolf as an alternative to the scene which introduced the DC Extended Universe's new big bad.
Apparently, the original conclusion was a cliffhanger while the new one brings the curtain down with finality. Although Justice League's main players have further solo outings on the horizon, the team-up film sounds like it will tell a standalone story with a defined beginning, middle and end.
Justice League: Part 2 was originally slated for 2019, but a sequel now appears to have been pushed back indefintely to accommodate other DCEU projects.
