2. Superman Wears A Black Suit, Has A Beard & Mullet

The Rumour: A bizarre but weirdly credible rumour stated that when Superman is resurrected in the movie, he'd look significantly different from his typically neat, clean-shaven, red-and-blue visage.

Not only would Supes be wearing a black suit (something even teased by Henry Cavill on social media), but he'd have a full beard and, hilariously, a mullet.

The Truth: As interesting as it would've been to see Cavill in the black Superman suit, and giving him a beard certainly would've eliminated that pesky CGI mustache removal, this look would ultimately have been pretty tough to pull off without looking totally ridiculous.

Warner Bros. instead went the safe route by keeping Superman looking almost exactly the same when he finally reappears at the end of the film. Unimaginative, perhaps, but understandable.
