Justice League: 10 Things It Should Have Done Differently

1. Address The Series' Mysteries

So who was that mysterious character Alfred was talking to in the Justice League trailer? Probably Superman, but the fans may never know for certain since the scene was seemingly left on the cutting room floor.

Warner generated intrigue with this teaser, causing many fans to speculate that it could be heralding the arrival of Green Lantern or another bonus DC hero, since Supes was all too obvious.

The identity of the off-screen character was an intriguing mystery for some ahead of the movie's release, so it was disappointing to see that Warner had apparently forgotten it had even raised the question in the trailers.

This is just one example of the loose ends Justice League completely ignored. Why was the dirt on top of Superman's coffin levitating if he was dead until the Mother Box revived him? What was the point in Lex Luthor summoning Steppenwolf if the two character never cross paths, and what's with Batman's Knightmares?

It was widely believed that Bruce Wayne's future echoes related to the events of Justice League, but it now seems more likely that they're setting up an Injustice movie, not that the visions he experienced have ever been referenced or built on since Dawn of Justice. With this in mind, these scenes still feel weirdly out of context.

Justice League had the opportunity to connect some of these dots and tie up loose ends, but it buried them deep in the darkest depths of the Batcave instead.
