9. What Did Joss Whedon Do?

This was the big question everyone had after Ray Fisher's comments. In the wake of those, both Geoff Johns and Joss Whedon issued a "no comment" when the trades reached out to them for answers, but Berg didn't back down quite so easily. In fact, he hit back at the actor by saying that his claims were "categorically untrue" and that Fisher's main gripe was being asked to say, "Booyah."

That's Cyborg's catchphrase, but it seemed hard to believe he would make such bold allegations for such a petty reason. Surprisingly, filmmaker Kevin Smith would speak up in Fisher's defence, revealing that VFX artists he'd spoken to had told him Whedon openly trashed Zack Snyder's work on the set of Justice League during the movie's reshoots.

He notes that The Avengers helmer would, "cut, down, dismiss and be negative about Zack’s version of the movie that he had seen and all of the special effects team [these people] had made together." This is said to have led to a lot of discomfort on the set with the cast and crew, especially as Snyder's daughter had only recently passed away, hence why he passed the reigns to another filmmaker.
