Justice League: 10 Ways Deathstroke Could Appear In The DCEU
9. Returning Home
One of the most pervasive problems fans have the Marvel Cinematic Universe is that while the team-ups are carefully built up to, their aftermath leaves a massive, plot-ruining question: where's everyone else during the world-threatening standalone adventures? Knowing the potential pitfalls in advance, DC are in a prime position to address this before it even becomes an issue.
After Steppenwolf has been predictably defeated and the gang is oblivious of his nephew's approach, they could each vow to take care of their respective cities/locales, leading to a montage of normality returning ahead of solo movies. And, just as he'd be a serviceable antagonist for a villain reintroduction, Deathstroke would be a nice fit for a ending baddie for Batman.
This approach allows Justice League to have an open ending without feeling like it's got an overly leading cliffhanger, with the added benefit of directly setting up Deathstroke for more later.
The risk with this is making it feel like a glorified cameo, something revealing him over a year in advance would only exaccerbate (remember, that didn't go too well for Rhino in The Amazing Spider-Man 2).
