Justice League: 10 Ways It Sets Up The Future Of The DCEU

1. No More Zack Snyder

And the most significant event that Justice League sets in motion? The departure of Zack Snyder, of course.

Though Snyder left the director's chair for the movie under the most tragic and unfortunate of circumstances, after the divisive audience and critical reactions to all three of his DCEU movies, it's extremely unlikely he'll be back as anything more than a producer.

With Justice League's box office likely to gross significantly less than Thor: Ragnarok of all movies, Warner Bros. surely won't trust Snyder with this franchise again, and instead seek out a more reliable filmmaker to helm the Justice League sequel.

With Matthew Vaughn already being heavily rumoured for the Man of Steel sequel while James Wan is busy at work on Aquaman and Patty Jenkins will return for Wonder Woman 2, it's not like the series is remotely wanting for him.

With Geoff Johns coming aboard the DCEU mid-way through Justice League's development, hopefully he'll be able to course-correct things from this point on, because it surely can't get much rougher, right?

What are your expectations for the future of the DCEU? Shout them out in the comments!
