When Snyder announced his departure from Justice League's directors chair, it was also announced that after screening a rough cut of the movie to friends, he brought Joss Whedon in to rewrite some scenes ahead of already planned reshoots.

Considering that Whedon's biggest strength above all else is snappy, quick-witted dialogue, it seems incredibly likely that his contribution will at least add more one-liners and general humour to the end product.

It would be wrong to suggest that Whedon is going to "funny up" the movie, considering that original Comic-Con trailer from last summer made it plenty clear the film was already going a more comedic route than Batman v Superman, but at the same time, he's probably being enlisted to intersperse more gags throughout the film.
