Justice League: 12 Things We Learned From The 2011 Alternate Script
11. The Super-Friends
In the DCEU, Batman and Superman are introduced as macho rivals, driven and divided by their different approaches to crime fighting who inevitably clash (thanks to some Lex Luthor manipulation of course) and end up throwing fists.
But in Beall's universe, they would have been friends who know each other's identities and who have coffee dates at Metropolis Diner and discuss other superheroes like Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Green Arrow and Aquaman.
It would still have been a recruitment film, though, with the pair travelling to Central City to hire The Flash and then Batman heading to Themyscira to recruit Diana. But they'd have had history - romantic history, no less. Mercifully, we didn't see any of that in the Snyder/Whedon movie.
