Justice League: 4 Reasons It's Already Failed (And 1 Why It Could Succeed)

Why It Could Succeed:

1. It€™s Still The Justice League

Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Green Lantern. Simply uttering their names aloud brings an excitement for fanboys. The way comic characters have exploded into the forefront of pop culture bodes hope for the Justice League movie. With fanboys on board no matter what (if you say you won€™t at least watch this movie, you're lying), and general audiences very much interested in superheroes, it's hard not to believe this film won€™t at least make money and become a bargain bin collectible. Imagine a Justice League film that builds Superman as our savior against an unstoppable force, only to be defeated. Build up the man, only to break him, causing the formation of the iconic team. Superman would bring together the other four heroes in order to save our world. Man of Steel would act as the catalyst for the League€™s movie, but the over-arching story would be about how five extraordinary people come together to protect our planet. From initial impressions from the Man of Steel trailer, the tone of the film is much more gritty, not a surprising development based on the fact that Christopher Nolan, Jonathon Nolan, and David Goyer were all heavily involved. A Justice League movie in the same vein would be a spectacle that would separate itself from the light-hearted, comedic tone of Whedon€™s Avengers. Bare in mind, these are still rich and diverse characters; there is a large amount of cannon at the disposal of DC and Warner Brothers. They may yet surprise us all and bring audiences a Justice League movie that stands on its own. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
