3. Lizzy Caplan
I always imagine a live action Wonder Woman to look like Katy Perry or Zooey Deschanel, but one of those isn't an actress and the other is far too innocent and nowhere near rough enough around the edges to play a battle-hardened Amazonian warrior. Step forward Lizzy Caplan; the third would-be triplet in the Perry/Deschanel lookalike saga. Caplan has the look that I imagined Wonder Woman to have, the acting ability to take the role on, and the necessary nasty streak to put up a fight (have you
seen Mean Girls?!). Having experienced the threat of a gigantic monster in
Cloverfield, Caplan recently appeared in
Item 47 - one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's
One-Shots - in which she plays one half of a couple of who rob banks using Chitauri weaponry, so it's uncertain if she has more of a part to play in the feature films. If she does, a part in DC's live action universe would be pretty much out of the question but, if she doesn't, there are certainly worse choices for the role of Wonder Woman.
