Justice League: 6 Major Changes The DCEU Is Making To Fix Itself

1. They're Not Deconstructing Heroes Any More

Another key part of Snyder's DC approach that's going to be seriously tempered in Justice League is, according to Johns, his "deconstructionism".

Now this has been an odd fascination the creatives have had since Batman V Superman: regretting that deconstructing the movie's heroes, with Deborah Snyder saying a few months back that isn't what fans want to see. Now while I'll 100% agree that it was a problem with Dawn Of Justice, I don't think that's because the intrinsic idea is a bad one.

Batman V Superman was a bad deconstruction. Its ideas were the thickness of comic book paper based on the broadest understanding of the 75 year-old heroes. People aren't going to like that because it's lazy and not offering anything novel. Not being able to recognise that plays into the perception that the movie was "too smart"; various people involved, including Ben Affleck, praised the complexity of Snyder's story as if it was some high art intellectual piece - Watchmen for the big screen - but if that was ever actually case evidence of it was completely lacking in the actual product.

Still, even if these guys don't quite get why their deconstruction was bad, at least they know it didn't work and are trying to change that.

Do you think these changes will make Justice League great and save the DCEU? Or are the problems too intrinsic? Share your thoughts down in the comments.
