Aquaman has been heavily ridiculed in pop-culture over the years, but he finally gets a truly worthy live-action portrayal in this movie, with the statuesque, bada** Jason Momoa proving himself perfectly cast.

Yes, the Atlantean definitely could've done more action-wise, but the film proved he's nevertheless a vital asset to the League, and his top-tier wise-cracking made him nothing if not an entertaining rascal of a superhero.

Above all else, it leaves one hyped to see how his solo movie pans out next year. All the tools are there to make it work, so fingers crossed the script isn't as formulaic as this one.
