11. Henry Allen

Of all the human parent characters in Justice League, though, the most enjoyable is Billy Crudup's Henry Allen.

He appears for just a few minutes, all of them behind bars no less, but his interactions with his son Barry are sharply-acted and quickly establish a meaningful bond between the two characters.

Crudup gets to do some Real Acting near the end of the movie when Barry reveals he's got an entry-level job at a crime lab, and though it's clear that Crudup's role was trimmed way down from its original intent, he nevertheless knocks it out of the park.

As with Mera, this basically sets a foundation that can be further explored in future movies, specifically Flashpoint in this case. In that regard, so far, so good.
