2. Blake?
Ahh yes...John "Robin" Blake or "Robin" John Blake, whatever you prefer. Batman's young and eager police sidekick was given the keys (well, the coordinates) to the bat-cave at the end of The Dark Knight Rises. This ending has caused many a debate to be had among fans of the trilogy. Did Blake become the new Batman? Did he become Nightwing? Did he go home after a long tiring day of spelunking in the bat-cave and have a cheeseburger? The fact is as of right now, we simply don't know for sure. His future was given a classic Inception-esque ending by Mr. Nolan. The most popular assumption is that he became the new protector of Gotham. Because of this popular assumption, the internet was wild with rumors of John Blake stepping in as Batman in the upcoming Justice League movie. The
rumor was denied by Gordon-Levitt's representatives but no one knows the full story. However, if the deal is finalized for Bale to return as Batman, then the fate of John Blake is undoubtedly something the filmmakers will have to address.
