Justice League Film: 10 DC Heroes You Won’t Be Seeing

2. Swamp Thing (Alec Holland)

If you're only aware of Swamp Thing from his theatrical films, TV show or short-lived cartoon, then stop reading this right now and go read Alan Moore's Saga of the Swamp Thing. It's a transcendent piece of graphic storytelling and proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the muck-encrusted mockery of a man deserves a feature film that does him justice. But why won't he be in Justice League? Although he's worked with plenty of other heroes on occasion, Alec Holland has always been a lonely creature, content to make his home in the Louisiana bayou away from the hustle and bustle of humanity. He's also has his roots (get it? ...I'll stop) in much more more of a horror background, making him too frightening to put on lunchboxes and backpacks. Hell, I'd wear Swamp Thing sneakers if I was still in the third grade. Hopefully, DC will do him right one day, but until then, we'll have to stick with Scott Snyder's fantastic run on the New 52 series. So out of all these characters, who could possibly be a sure-fire "won't see-'em" for DC's eventual multi-million dollar team movie?
