Justice League Film: 10 Epic JLA Stories That Should Be Referenced

10. Bruce Wayne: Fugitive

Ok, you'll have to bear with me here; I know this isn't even nearly a direct Justice League story but in fact a full-on Batman arc. But after reading it recently, I'm convinced that it'd be the absolute perfect plot for the upcoming JL movie. In the No Man's Land Batman arc, in which Gotham has been destroyed by a cataclysmic earthquake, Bruce Wayne took a public stance against Lex Luthor, who at the time had been elected as the US president. Wayne took this stance for many reasons, one of which was Luthor's willingness to seal Gotham off from the rest of America during the aftermath of the cataclysm. In an act of revenge, Luthor had Bruce Wayne's lover - Vesper Fairchild - murdered, and had Wayne framed for the crime. Wayne was arrested but subsequently escaped and essentially began acting as Batman 24/7 while he worked to clear his own name. True enough, this story doesn't really feature the Justice League, but it does feature the schemes of President Luthor, who if you ask me would be a perfect villain for the Justice League movie. It'd also fit perfectly with Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Rises continuity in which Gotham was left in ruin after Bane's attack - an idea which in my option was lifted from No Man's Land itself. Effectively, with the addition of the rest of the League, you're talking about a story in which it's Batman vs. The JLA, who slowly start to suspect that he might in fact be guilty of the murder (as the Batfamily do in the original story). Of course in the end, it'd have to turn into the Justice League (along with a newly proven innocent Batman) vs. President Luthor and whatever clever contingency he may have up his sleeve. And I'm not sure you'll agree with me, but I can't imagine a better Justice League movie than one that pits Batman against everyone. So there are 10 Epic JLA tales we'd love to see referenced in 2015's Justice League movie. Anything you'd have liked to have seen in here? I'd love to hear about it!
