Justice League Film: 10 Reasons Why The Wachowski’s Should Direct

3. They Want to Mix it Up

"We think movies are fairly boring and predictable. We want to screw with audiences' expectations." - Andy Wachowski.
And he€™s right, especially in the comic book movie genre. Often, they€™re boring, because they€™re ultimately predictable and rely too heavily on CGI (case in point: Green Lantern, which really was a wasted opportunity to bring mainstream recognition to a superb comic book character). In fact, this willingness to defy expectation is invariably what turned many off to the Matrix sequels. But whether you liked them or not, you can€™t deny that they at least attempted to mix it up from the norm. In my eyes, a Justice League movie can€™t just be bastardised Avengers, in an attempt to mop up any remaining interest in a Superhero ensemble piece. It has to be fresh, original, subversive even. That€™s just one of the reasons I€™m championing the corner of the Wachowski€™s.
