Justice League Leaked Script: 10 Things We Learned

1. The Film Would Have Been Absolutely Relentless

10 Final It's easy to take shots at the script, and it certainly makes a few out-there decisions. I don't want to see Batman kill, the Flash phase through his wife, or hamburgers turn people into robots. Nor do I want to see a fully motion-capture Justice League movie. If this were an animated feature, however, which DC has already done a great job with, I'd be probably like the movie. The truth is that despite all of the problems with Justice League: Mortal, it has the infectious energy that superhero comics have. It has all the earmarks of a superhero movie I'd kind of like - a big, breathing, detailed world; familiar characters with known and (largely) correctly executed powers; and wall-to-wall action and drama. Every scene in the movie is absolutely packed with cool action moments, what would probably be very cool special effects, and dramatic dialogue. While some of the story points I discussed might not make much sense, most of the characters are actually captured quite well, freed as they are from origin stories and too many solo scenes. The interaction between the characters is quite accurate, hinting at backstories of individual relationships. Given the chance to develop those characters in later films, they might actually work quite well. The movie would not have been the best superhero movie of all time, but it's mainly made up of cool moments from the very start, with the Justice League in what would no doubt be a very emotional funeral scene. The problem is simply that it's almost too much, too quick, which is probably the reason the film was shelved. I could see the idea being reworked and being a very serviceable Justice League sequel€ Just please, no burger-bots!
