Justice League Movie: 10 Alternate Heroes We'd Love To See
5. Hawkman
Hawkman is just dying for a big screen adaptation: it would just take a little courage for a studio executive to greenlight the project. So, while a Hawkman movie has been in development hell for a few years now with no sign of progress, how about putting him in Justice League first? He is one of DC's coolest characters, and one of the most violent, unpredictable superheroes to grace the pages of a comic book, and if adapted well, the seemingly cheesier elements could look absolutely incredible on the big screen. Hawkman is an interesting member of the team because he's known for his short fuse and bad temper, taking his anger out on anyone seemingly without prejudice, and placing such a ruthless character in the middle of a burgeoning superhero team could lead to some interesting results. Hawkman has never been afraid to spill a little bit of blood for the greater good, so teaming him up with the more morally-centered heroes like Batman and Superman could give the JLA an interesting and engaging dynamic. Would Batman be cool with Superman killing Zod? Absolutely not. But Hawkman? He'd have wished he could have been there to do the job himself. Throw in a bit of his long history of immortality and reincarnation, as well as his tragic but beautiful love story with Hawkgirl, and you've got yourself the perfect set-up for a future solo film.
