Justice League Movie: 12 Perfect Choices To Complete The Cast

10. Commissioner Gordon - Bryan Cranston

Commissioner Gordon Cranston The man who would be Lex Luthor for many Batman and Superman fans should yet have a part to play in Zack Snyder's DC universe, and the idea of casting him on the other end of the spectrum to Heisenberg, but with a similar tone is an irresistible prospect. It's probably more likely that Gordon will appear in Batman Vs Superman, and Gary Oldman has already confirmed that he won't be back in the role, but Batman's ally should appear as a continuous presence in Snyder's world, and Cranston shares some similarities in the genetics of his screen persona (especially recently) with Oldman, and his casting would be particularly smart. Snyder could of course cast older - reflecting the ageing of Batman - but Cranston could convincingly play older than Affleck, and it would be something of a disservice to have him as a doddering paternal cipher, with the ghost of Michael Caine's grumbly Alfred still fresh in the memory.
