Justice League Movie: 5 Reasons Why It'll Be Better Than The Avengers
5. Larger Demographic
For the non comic book fan, The Avengers are relatively new. Most of the average movie audiences didnt know about them until Marvels Cinematic Universe kicked in and introduced the characters separately first in their own solo films, culminating in the team up that was The Avengers. Sure, mythology buffs may know of Thor. Nick Fury was immortalized by David (The Hoff) Hasselhoff in the 90s. And The Hulk has been a staple analogy for losing ones temper. (Hulk smash!, etc.)
But beyond those pop culture references, people didnt truly know The Avengers before the movie. Superman and Batman need no such background info or introduction. Despite people constantly trying to reboot an origins story, the fact that these two super heroes have been around in Television and movies for a lot longer than anyone from The Avengers, is enough to assume that the general populace knows them.
Furthering that assumption is counting just how many times Superman has been brought to life in movie & TV form, while Batman has been around on celluloid in some form of tights, (rubber nipples or not) even crossing tones from campy and fun to dark and dramatic. Lets not forget Lynda Carters iconic turn as the only live action Wonder Woman ever! (Not Adrianne Palicki. Nope. Didnt happen.)
So if the Justice League movie can successfully tap into this inter-generational fan base ranging from ages 10 to 60 and even a rare yet much needed female fan base, it can definitely translate into a helluva lot bigger audience than The Avengers.
