10. The Dark Knight Legend is The Perfect Foundation

So let's go back to the end of The Dark Knight Rises. Batman sacrifices himself for Gotham, he gets a memorial statue in his honor, and John "Robin" Blake takes over the cave under the new orphanage. Now imagine that parallel to this story is the Man of Steel saga: young Clark Kent, all grown up but not yet the Supes we know him to be, hears the story of a man a couple towns over. A man who strikes fear into the hearts of criminals and saves the city he loves. Surely that's inspirational to a boy like Clark Kent. Surely he'd want to take that same mantle up in his own home base of Metropolis, only he'd do it a different way. He realizes that fear isn't needed to fight evil. All that's needed is strength, conviction, and honor. So begins the rise of Superman. With The Dark Knight Legend in their corner, Warner Brothers has found their Iron Man moment, meaning they've found the proper kickoff to forming the Justice League. There's no Nick Fury to kick things off here, so it's kind of hard to just spontaneously form a Justice League. There needs to be a catalyst, and Batman's saga is the perfect catalyst. A hero giving their life to protect the world is perfect motivation to those who are coming into powers of their own. Plus, we can explore just what brings Bruce Wayne (and possibly Selena Kyle) back to "the life". After all, do those two
really seem like the type to just ride off into the sunset and live peaceful, low adrenaline lives?
