Justice League: Predicting The Fate Of Every Superhero

We got a sneak peek at Cyborg's origin story in Batman V Superman, in which we saw video footage of S.T.A.R. Labs scientist Silas Stone transforming his son Victor into a man-machine mishmash to save his life.

In the original comic books, Silas is largely to blame for an accident that obliterates most of Victor's body, leaving him with two choices - use his techy knowhow to turn him into a cyborg, or leave him to die. Neither option was going to land him a father of the year award, to be fair.

One of the Mother Boxes - miniaturised, Apokoliptian supercomputers that can do just about anything - is incorporated into Cyborg and was a vital to his survival.

What will happen to him in Justice League? Cyborg's intrinsic connection to this technology and ability to interface with it will give the Justice League a key advantage in the final battle against Steppenwolf.

Victor is bitter towards his father, blaming him for his mechanical plight, but this will dissipate when he realises his new powers have imbued him with heroic potential.

However, we're guessing Silas is somewhere on the battlefield, providing tech support to the League, and he'll be mortally wounded in the conflict - but not before he reconciles with his son amid his death throes.

Victor is insecure about his Terminator-like appearance throughout the film, but makes peace with it by the end, flying the flag for self-acceptance, all in time to warn his fellow Justice Leaguers that another Apokoliptian invader called Darkseid has plotted a course for Earth.
