Justice League Rumour Killer: It's NOT 170 Minutes Long

So no need to worry about buttock pain just yet.

Despite reports to the contrary coming out of CinemaCon, where Warner Bros were building hype for their upcoming slate of comic book movies, Zack Snyder's Justice League isn't actually 170 minutes long. That's according to The Wrap, who claim "an individual with close knowledge of the project" told them.

For now, the final run-time isn't known, because the film isn't actually finished. And while it would be entirely easy to believe that Snyder would inflate a movie that long looking to double-stuff in references and as much epic, pitch-black slo-mo as possible, even he would probably draw the line at making any sit for 2 hours and 50 minutes watching it.

This comes after social media was awash with claims that Justice League would be 20 minutes longer than Batman v Superman - making it longer than The Dark Knight Rises, X-Men: Days Of Future Past and all of the other 140 minute epics already released in the genre. That run-time is actually still listed on IMDB too, so presumably the news has risen high.

There is a lot to get into Justice League - which has been confirmed to have a prologue set in the distant past showing the Parademons' first attempt to invade Earth - but over-extending to that extent would be a mistake. Particularly when it's supposed to be a two-part movie anyway.
