Justice League: Snyder Cut - 10 Cuts Warner Bros Should NEVER Have Made

8. The Flash Learns He Can Time Travel

At first, the Flash seems to have a pretty straightforward ability; he runs really fast. But anyone who reads the comics knows Flash can run faster than the speed of light, allowing him to time-travel.

Not only was this ability crucial to Snyder's vision for Justice League but it tied into the Knightmare scene in Batman v Superman. In The Snyder Cut, Flash used a time-machine powered by speed called The Cosmic Treadmill to go back in time to warn Batman about how dangerous Superman will become. In the final act, Cyborg attempts to stop the merging of The Mother Boxes but fails, causing Steppenwolf to successfully terraform Earth.

Flash uses The Cosmic Treadmill to travel minutes prior, giving Cyborg another chance to stop the merging. This time, Cyborg sends his consciousness directly into the Mother Box to stop the Unity. While inside the alien device, Cyborg has a vision of his parents offering him the chance to regain his human appearance if he joins Steppenwolf.

Sadly, all of this was left on the cutting room floor. Instead of saving the entire world by manipulating the time-space continuum, Joss Whedon had the Flash save one single family in the film's conclusion.
